I'm not the biggest fan of haunted houses. I turn into a giggling twelve year old girl who screams at everything. Its kinda sad. But everyone else is immensely amused by it, so I go along. Last night we went to possibly the best haunted forest in the universe. Trust me, I'd know. It was a bit of a trek from Baltimore but WELL WORTH IT!
Markoff's Haunted Forest in Poolesville, my hat is off to you. It was really more of a theme park with attractions and food vendors while you wait for your group to get called, along with a huge bonfire to keep ya toasty. The overall level of professionalism is really astounding and I can only imagine how many people work it, not only in the forest but overall.

Nothing like a spooky ass sunset to set the mood!

I assure you this was a fire dancer. There was a crew of them and they were pretty good. I can also almost guarantee you that they are DC goth kids. Gotta love em!

FIRE!!!!!!!!!!
So I don't have pics of anything actually scary. I was too busy screaming and running away. The actual forest is full of people with chainsaws running after you, different themed houses with horrible, horrible things waiting for you, and hallways that close in on you. At one point we were in a hallway that was just big enough to pass through and pitch black so you had to feel your way along. I was almost towards the end, feeling my way along when I felt a face. And then it growled at me. KUDOS!!!
